Ansonia Clock Co., New York, C.1880, "REGENT" , large and imposing mantel clock, with extra fancy cast brass dial [floral motif} with garland support for the front pivot. -
French, Ls. Boname, Seloncourt, for J. E. Caldwell, Philad'a, C.1895, large yellow marble portico clock, with 4 free standing columns, each with Corinthian capitals, and the frontal surfaces with ormolu Greek figures, and with an 8-day gong striking mov't No. 5457. -
French, Lerolle Freres, a'Paris, (blinker) dore bonze clock in the rococo fantasy style with a brace of hippocampi with webbed feet emerging from the waves, on left a young Amphitrite with fish tails and to her right a cherub with 2 fish fins in lieu of feet, playing a conch, and at the top a small cherub with two sticks in his hands for percussion accompaniment. Just below the dial a bust of Neptune [or Poseidon in Greek], with animated eyes that move back and forth with each tick. C.1850. -
French, unsigned, very large Rococo style bracket clock with bracket, finished in Vernis Martin {or Martin Varnish}, C.1900. This clock is made in the style of the mid 1700s, and is a high quality version of an original. It has a well made Brocot escapement, and except for the suspension, the movement replicates an 18th century mov't in size and external appearance, even including a star spoked count wheel. Lacquer finish on furniture was brought to vogue by the Martin brothers in Paris in the early 1700s and has had periods of interest since then. The dial is 11.5 inches in diameter, and consists of 13 porcelain pieces attached to a brass backing. -

European, for Camerden and Forster, NY, classic English Regency styled bracket clock, 3-train, Westminster chime on 4 enormous coiled flat wire gongs, in a mahogany case with reeded quarter columns, brass capitals and stop fluting, C.1900 {in the style of 80 years earlier}. Strikes the hours on an even larger coiled gong. -
European, 3-Chain Fusee, Victorian Double chime bracket clock, playing your choice of Westminster on gongs or Whittington on bells, followed by an hour count on a large flat wire cathedral gong. The silvered brass chapter ring applied to a well engraved and silvered mask, and with subsidiary dials in the arch for Strike/Silent, F/S, and Westm/8-bells. -

European, a very large Victorian cast brass table clock, with an equally large double chain fusee movement with heavy solid plates. Strikes the hours on a very large coiled wire cathedral gong. The case is profusely decorated with leaves and swags, a winged cherub below the 7" silvered dial with Arabic numerals, + surmounted by 4 pineapple finials and giant double acanthus swags with ribbon binding, c.1880. -

French, Dufaud, Paris, case possibly by Link, C.1890, in the Louis XV style of the previous century, and of the highest quality. There are profuse floral decorations, fruit swags to the sides and acanthus swags drape the top urn w/finial. Large cast and fluted feet support the base. -

French, Raingo Frs, Paris, bronze, silvered brass and ormolu clock in the form of Reims Cathedral, c.1850. Cathedral of Our Lady in the City of Reims, stands in the Champagne-Ardennes region of France, and is considered one of the finest examples of the High Gothic style of architecture. The kings of France were once crowned in Reims Cathedral. Note that dozens of little cast and chased 'Saints' line the windows, exactly as the real building. Clock sets on its original rosewood base, and with a glass cover/ 5 panes in a wooden frame. Well made silk thread movement is signed as above. -
