C.1890, French, Chas, Delagrave, Paris, WORLD TIME clock in a mahogany case; with an interesting porcelain dial depicting the entire globe, and a second outer dial that rotates counter-clockwise and indicates the time in approx 80 of the world's major cities, including Zanzibar, Medina, Mocha, Astrakhan, Bokhara and Tobolsk. Dial dia = 5.5" Bell strike, pendulum mov't. -
C.1879, Seth Thomas Clock Co., "Sharp Gothic", 8-day time/strike/ special alarm steeple clock. This clock is fitted with an early version of Winward's new eight-day railway "alarum". The strange lever on the upper left side of the case was used to silence the alarm. The strike train is used to activate the alarm, rather than the use of a separate movement. -
