Description

Condition: overall very good original condition, a dry split in case above 12. This clock has sat in place for many years, and regular dusting has removed much of the gilding on the ormolu trim, however all the pieces are present and the case is in extra nice shape. Bronze pieces include top finials, side caryatids, feet, crest, door trim and base trim. Has a heavy cast brass dial with individual cartouche numerals, and original pierced steel hands. Original gilt sunburst pendulum shows through glass in front door. Retailers label on bottom. For a nearly identical model, see 150 Yahre Lenzkircher Uhren [2001], page 74, only the bottom front trim is different; note we find 2 others sold, identical to ours. Ht 21.3"
