C.1825, Unsigned, Connecticut 30 Hour Wooden Works tall case clock, in a country pine case, now with a glazed door. -
C.1880, American Jeweler's Regulator, in a walnut case with brass trim. The consignor bought this out of a French Quarter residence many years ago, and the case is attributed to Stanislaus Fournier of New Orleans. Note brass trim all around the door, and unusual grid pendulum that is actually pinned for proper temperature compensation [many grids are not]. -
C.1900, English, Albert Barker, 5 New Bond St, London, Dwarf Tall Clock, mahogany, with profuse inlay, and on a shelf from the same period, with some Nouveau influence. The movement signed on the rear plate, "Made in France, especially for Albert Barker, London", and the dial signed as in the headline. -
C.1895, German, Polyphon, Musical Tall clock, double comb Polyphon player, with Lenzkirch time and strike movement, in a closed walnut case, music plays at will with selector on left, or on the hour. Most similar to style 64; this one never had glass in door, has walnut panel. Plays 28cm center drive discs. -
C.1852, Howard and Davis, Boston, Mass, "Astronomical Clock" as described in 1850s Howard literature; this model later was called the No. 23 Regulator, with 16" dial, 8-day, weight. -
C.1905, English, ELLIOTT, LONDON, for Tiffany and Co., New York, 2-Wt, Rolling moon tall clock, mahogany waisted, broken arch case with beveled glass in door, gong strike. -
C.1840, English, S. J. Bibby, Carnarvon [Wales], 2-Wt, 8-day tall case with animated dial, a monkey swinging from tree to tree to avoid a lion with "blinking eyes", in a wide mahogany case typical of the North country in England. -
C.1760, French, Soelie, a' Corbeil, floor standing regulator, 6 month duration with center seconds and concentric calendar. -
