Description
Condition: nicely restored, this clock came from an old timer in Pennsylvania; the dryness in his house has caused a couple of splits in the case at the "throat". The movement is of the highest quality with brushed pattern appearing on both from and rear of both plates, and with jeweled pallets and Geneva style winding stop. The weight, dial, pulley, pendulum and cut glass vials are all original There is one small chip on one vial, not noticeable. Dust cover nuts are orig; covers replaced. The walnut case has been refinished. In the 1850's this clock would have sold new for around $500, a very large sum at the time. Ht 86"
