A brass ring around the equator shows 24 hours, and a pointer indicates local time for your "home" region. Wind, set and regulate from base. English possessions are shown in light orange, others in ivory color. -

C.1910, German, JUNGHANS, 3-Wt Grand Sonnerie, Vienna Regulator, in the Alt Deutsch style, all original, including matched floral engraved weights, dial center and pendulum. -
C.1841, Rare Brewster and Ingrahams, Detached Fusee Beehive, 8-day time and repeating rack strike [Kirk's patent] in a mahogany veneered case and with old Fenn tablet, and wooden dial. Note this clock was made at a time when Joseph S. Ives (Nephew of THE Joseph Ives) was working with Brewster and he secured a patent for the use of brass as a spring in clocks. We sold the sister to this clock, lot 385 in May of 2004, that had a full Joseph S. Ives label. That clock [385] crossed the block at $6100. -
