Berrolla, Rue Grenetat N. 4, a Paris, very unusual gilt bronze table or mantel clock with calendar, phases of the moon and retrograde displays, 8 day time and strike pendule a Paris movement signed Pons on front plate, snake form bezel and silvered Roman numeral dial with aperture below center showing retrograde seconds, aperture in case front with scalloped edge displaying retrograde date, a round aperture below trimmed with gilt leaves and flowers showing phases of the moon, the moon disc painted with a smiling face and backed by a dark blue enamel sky with stars, these displays flanked by swans and cornucopias and other Grecian ornaments, the base with 3 silvered dials with scalloped edges, showing day of the week, date, and month, all dials with blued steel hands, the whole on rectangular feet, c1825 -
France, large gilt bronze mantel clock, seated male figure with scrolls and laurel wreath above an acanthus molded base on Grecian scrolled feet, front with interlocking wreaths, two of which contain lightning, and with a spear behind, beaded bezel with beveled glass, Roman numeral white enamel dial with blued steel hands, 8 day time and count wheel strike pendule a Paris movement signed "Pons", pendulum with silk thread suspension, case back also with glazed bezel, c1840 -
