Theodore E. Burleigh, Winchester, Mass. gilt front presentation "Truth and Justice" banjo clock, with mahogany case surmounted by an acorn finial, brass bezel over the roman numeral dial signed "T. E. Burleigh, Jr./Winchester, Mass", gilded rope molded frames support reverse-painted tablets in gold and white, the lower box glass depicts Truth and Justice as mythical women holding the liberty cap and pole, and the balance scale as Justice and Equality, flanking the Federal eagle perched atop of the world globe and clutching the banner with the United States motto, "E. Pluribus Unum" (out of many, one), all set against a stage of canon balls, flags, a drum and a Federal shield as a pendulum aperture, the whole resting on a carved and gilded pediment with balls and acorn drop, eight day brass time only movement stamped "Kilbourn & Proctor Inc.", with recoil escapement, all powered by a lead weight and regulated by a brass faced pendulum bob and steel rod. -
E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "Model 95" Re-issue, Serial No. 124, gilt brass eagle surmounting the brass bezel which opens to the roman numeral dial marked "E. Howard & Co./Boston", cross banded inlaid frames house the reverse-painted glasses of the geometric and cross hatched pattern in green, gold leaf and off-white, cast brass side ornaments flank the waist section and a carved pedestal completes the design at the bottom, eight day brass time only movement stamped "E. Howard & Co./Boston/ 95" with recoil escapement, powered by a weight and regulated by a brass faced pendulum bob and brass rod. -

(3) Daniel Pratt & Sons, Reading, Mass., Banjo timepiece, 8 day, weight driven brass movement. -
Reuben Tower, Hingham, Massachusetts Patent Timepiece "Banjo" Clock, with roman numeral iron dial signed "R. Tower/Hingham", mahogany case with gilded rope moldings enclosing the reverse-painted glasses, the throat a gilt scrolled foliate, the box glass a depiction of "Aurora", eight day time and strike movement with rack and snail hour strike on a top mounted bell, powered by two cast iron weights and regulated by a pendulum. -

Bench-made mahogany girandole clock, marked "L. Curtis/Concord", with gilt wooden bezel, painted iron arabic numeral dial, the waist section of lyre form, framing the reverse-painted glass inscribed "L. Curtis Concord" and with simulated lyre strings, in gold against a red background, the convex lower glass with stenciled leaves on a red ground with a peaceful country scene and pendulum aperture in gold, all enclosed in a turned gilded frame with gilt balls, the case bottom with carved acanthus leaf pedestal, the early 19th century eight day time only brass movement powered by a lead weight and regulated by a brass-faced pendulum bob and iron rod. -

Howard & Davis, Boston, Massachusetts Wall Regulator (No. 5 size), the cherry case with turned wooden bezel over the roman numeral zinc and printed paper dial signed "Howard & Davis/Boston", half round frames holding the black and gold glasses, the lower rectangular box glass with oval pendulum aperture, eight day time- only brass, weight powered movement with recoil escapement, regulated by a wooden pendulum rod and brass faced bob with blued-steel moon hands. -

This clock is sometime referred to as the "Treasure Island", c1930; (2) New Haven Clock Co., New Haven, Conn., "Willard", 8 day, weight brass patent or banjo timepiece, c1929. -
Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, Concord, Massachusetts, the mahogany veneered, gilded rope molded case with acorn finial over the zinc roman numeral dial, original reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting "Aurora" on her festooned chariot driven by two winged horses set before a gleaming sunrise and framed within a geometric border, the waist glass flanked by brass side ornaments in gold, green and red frames gilt scroll work within a gilt border, below is a gilded pedestal with fluted acorn drop and eight balls, eight day brass movement with alternate train layout, cut-outs on front and back plates, and recoil escapement and regulated by a brass-faced lead backed pendulum bob and iron rod. -
Bench-made Patent timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, with mahogany case, brass bezel opens to the roman numeral dial surmounted by a ball and eagle finial, gilded rope molded frames for the reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting and inscribed "Hull" with central shield and eagle pendulum aperture, the waist glass with similar patriotic depiction of a Federal shield and eagle amidst decorative scroll work in gold, red, green and white, the whole resting on a carved and gilded pedestal at the base with acorn drop, eight day time-only movement with recoil escapement, lead weight and pendulum bob and iron rod. -
Waltham Watch Co., Waltham, Mass., Mahogany Banjo Clock, with pictoral glasses depicting Mt. Vernon and George Washington, the eagle finial caps the case over the Arabic numeral dial marked "Waltham", half round frames enclose the glasses, carved pedestal with acorn drop on the base, eight day time only brass movement inscribed "Waltham Watch Co." with dead beat escapement, maintaining power, Geneva stop, lead weight and pendulum. -
Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth, Mass., Presentation banjo wall timepiece. This item must have been special ordered from Stennes as it has no hole in the dial for a weight driven movement, but was apparently originally fitted a c1970 battery driven electric movement. -
