Curtis/Concord", with gilt wooden bezel, painted iron arabic numeral dial, the waist section of lyre form, framing the reverse-painted glass inscribed "L. Description

A high-quality reproduction utilizing a probable period Aaron Willard, Jr. movement with holes through both plates for "through bolts", a well made recoil escapement powered by old and probably period weight and regulated by a period pendulum. Removing the waist section glass reveals a very crisp product with little sign of genuine age. "27" appears stamped on various components as a batch number following the tradition of period girandoles. Overall, while the clock remains an excellent decorative object, the lesser quality glasses and carving reveal the real age.
