Marti Marble and Ormolu Figural Mantel Clock, Paris, with variegated marble, brass and beveled glass case, porcelain roman numeral dial, and marble plinths for Cupid and probably Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love flanking a stepped top with ormolu trim and doves in a love nest at the top, all on a raised base with Putti on the facade and gargoyle feet, eight-day round French movement cast Marti emblem on the back plate, count-wheel hour and half hour strike on a bell and brass bob pendulum. -
