European, 3-Chain Fusee, Victorian Double chime bracket clock, playing your choice of Westminster on gongs or Whittington on bells, followed by an hour count on a large flat wire cathedral gong. The silvered brass chapter ring applied to a well engraved and silvered mask, and with subsidiary dials in the arch for Strike/Silent, F/S, and Westm/8-bells. -

The case is profusely decorated with leaves and swags, a winged cherub below the 7" silvered dial with Arabic numerals, + surmounted by 4 pineapple finials and giant double acanthus swags with ribbon binding, c.1880. -
French, for the English market, C.1910, RICHARD'S CHRONOSPHERE {time globe}, made up of 12 lithographed gores applied to a 7.5" metal sphere, showing Patent 19460, various early 19th C. depictions such as 'Russian Empire' and 'Chinese Empire', the oceans and continents clearly labeled, with nation/states delicately shaded and showing major rivers and cities, shipping routes, etc. The globe is mounted to a bronze stand, with mov't in base. -
