Japanese, Aichi Clock Co., 8-day shelf clock for the Asian market, with cast gesso dragons and gargoyles applied to the door, painted gold. C.1910. -
Japan, ÓAÒ on dial, probably Aichi of Nagoya, BLINKING EYE parlor clock, with typical open spring movement, this one with lever escapement, the balance showing on the dial, and with a hidden connection from the lever to the eyes that produces animation. The case of Germanic influence, with embossed brass caryatids and buttons, and surmounted by a spread wing bird, c1905 -
Japanese short drop clock, very ornately decorated with rope carved moldings around the front edges. The case is 18.5" high, probably made with an evergreen type wood, probably pine, stained dark. -
