Attributed to Claude Galle, a monumental Verde Antico and gilt bronze mantel clock, "Hector's Farewell to Andromache", the stepped base resting on 6 four paw feet, palmette and bellflower ornamented base molding, the front with bas relief of Hector attempting to convince Paris to defend Troy, and with flanking mounts representing love and fidelity, and surmounted by figures of Hector and Andromache, Hector dressed for battle, and Andromache with a pained expression and holding their son Astyanax, the figures flanking the octagonal clock case containing a large, two train movement of 15 day duration, and with date function, roman numeral white enamel dial with inner date chapter, gilt and engraved brass hands with blued steel date indicator -
