Description
Condition: the top leafy crest was carved to match by a talented Canadian, and then the main case and top stained to match. The movement has been cleaned and the bellow's tops re-newed. Hands and numerals are hand cut, nicely done. Seems to run fine. Note Frankfeld obtained a patent dated April 24, 1866, for modifying the Waterbury movement so that it had 2 strike arms, one for each bellows. Most shelf cuckoos run for only 2 days, with gearing for 56 hours. Ht 21"
