with printed paper over tin dial with radial Roman numerals on chapter ring and ticks on outer ring with diamonds and triangles marking minutes, winding squares at III & VIII with fast/slow square above XII. Brass time and strike spring-driven movement stamped S. Thomas/Thomaston, Ct./U.S.A. with ST in diamond in circle and 3 5/8, brass plated tin back cover with embossed entwined ST, original iron pendulum and brass key. Mahogany case in original finish with turned half-column with geometric carved plinths at top and turned bases, stepped base with matching plinths, dial plate with scroll-cut moulding and central bull's-eye rosette, crest with stamped/pressed scroll work, large central plinth surmounted with more stamped scroll work and turned finial, 5.75" x 11.6" x 16.6" high.
