Description
4 inch mahogany case with shaded marquetry designs on the front and sides. The Sonora Chime movement is No119, striking 4 rods to play the Westminster Chimes. Correct pendulum, chime-silent lever on the back of the case. 8 day, plays on quarter hours, running. The base is stamped "C8", which I suspect means "Chime Clock No.8", as this model is not pictured in the Seth Thomas catalogs. There is a silver dial with etched numerals, convex and beveled glass (makes picture taking impossible). Extremely attractive clock. Ly-Seth Thomas, pages 206-223.
