Description

This is a double chime clock, playing your choice of Whittington or Westminster tunes on a tuned set of 8 patent Sonora bells. Typical of all Sonora clocks, there is a second large movement that handles the quarter chime operation. Both movements clean and running. Like the previous lot, this case features inlaid marqueterie in the mahogany front panel, and in addition has an engraved and silvered presentation plaque to Maj. General C. T Inett, by his comrades on May 18, 1918. This clock strikes on a single bell on the hour. Height 13.25Ó $2,000-$2,500
