Description
with detached seconds beating balance wheel at the apex of the clock, the impulse arm extending up from the movement and through a small hole in the top of the case. The clock is in exceptional condition, and with fine detail; the case retains bright yellow fire gilding, and surmounted by a winged cherub, and with angels on each side, both with mandolins. The movement has been professionally restored and runs briskly, striking the hours and halves on a bell. The ormolu dial has a cast in seconds ring with a diminutive "12" at top, and the seconds hand moves one minute at a time, in sync with the large split compensating balance wheel at top with over a dozen large timing screws. Height 22"
