Description
This is an interesting temple style clock, with a central tower and 4 finely detailed Corinthian columns supporting a domed "roof". The ormolu retains original bright gilding intact. There are 2 bands of multi-color cloisonné enamel around the tower, a band around each column, the tips of the finials are decorated and there are several other shield shape panels of enamel as well. Retains original Mougin signed French movement and strikes the hours on a cathedral gong. Has a good porcelain dial with polychrome floral wreath decorations. Appears to be clean and running. Very minor bits of enamel have worn off the top finials, but the clock is overall in excellent condition. Height 16" $2750-3250
