France, table clock with annular time display, architectural porcelain case mounted to a gilt brass foliate molded base, the cylindrical case with Corinthian columns, pink glaze with gilt highlights, and 4 painted panels of very good quality and with gilt frames, the front featuring Chronos bearing a portrait of Louis XVI, surrounded by three putti, one with hourglass, one with scythe, the last with laurel fronds, the sides with full length portraits of women in classical dress, and the back with a basket of flowers suspended by a bowknot, with a background of roses, forget me nots, coneflowers, and two colorful birds, the time display on two rings with Roman and Arabic numeral white enamel cartouches, beneath the domed top with bowknot and floral decorated band, and gilt brass putti playing a lute, c1880 -
