C.1895, French, Clock and Barometer, gilt bronze commemorative to EUGEN SANDOW, famous weight lifter and "father of modern weight lifting", retailed by Elkington and Co., Liverpool, each instrument held in the ends of a giant barbell. Sandow was born in 1867 in Konigsberg, Germany. -
C.1900, German, CLOCK PEDDLER, now with key-wind Swiss watch movement and dial, figure in original paint, the peddler with a group of pendulums in his left hand. Entire statue is carefully formed segments of tin, soldered together and painted. -

C.1880, French, Farret a' Paris, Bronze and white marble MYSTERY clock, the movement with a steel arm over the verge, near the top case panel, which is moved from side to side by a strong magnet in the bottom of the pendulum, which attraction for the steel pulls the pendulum toward the center and results in a 'scape at the same time. A small brass counter weight brings the verge back to center and gets it ready for the next impulse from the other direction. The bronze figure signed Ferrand. -
