William Waite, Burslem, England, tall clock, 8 days, time and bell strike, weight driven movement in an oak case with mahogany veneer and string inlay accents with painted iron dial with moon phase, second's bit and calendar. -
George Fitts, Bangor, Maine, standing astronomical jeweler's regulator, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement with sapphire pallets, Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, counter weighted crutch pin fitted closely to a bushing in pendulum rod, German silver bushings with closed ends with integral end pieces and eccentric bushings for the pallet arbor in a walnut and burled walnut carved case with domed top and three finials, beveled glass trunk door and raised burl panel on base. The silvered astronomical dial is signed and dated 1847 by maker. -
Walter H. Durfee, Providence, Rhode Island, for J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia, Penn. on dial, 8 tube hall clock, 8 days, time, strike and quarter chimes. three weight driven, damascened movement. Plays Westminster or tunes on "Bow Bells". Tubes signed by Walter Durfee with patent dates 1892 & 1896. The case is carved mahogany with an ornately carved pagoda shaped hood with carved urn finial above dial, bent pyramid top surmounted by a square carved finial at apex. The trunk and hood doors have matching brass escutcheons and beveled glass. The carved curve base resting on bracket feet has a retailer panel with presentation plaque to "GEORGE & LAURA HOLL 1873. JUNE 25TH. 1895". The brass dial has moon phase, engraved spandrels and dial center, silvered chapter ring, strike / silent and tune selector discs. [Note: George Holl, Jr. (1840-1915) and Laura Stockton (1851-1920) were married June 25, 1873 at Camden, NJ and lived the rest of their life there. This clock was a 22nd. anniversary gift.] -

John Stewart, Auchterarder, Scotland, tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in an mahogany veneer case with broken arch with brass rosettes, two full columns with brass capitals and bases flanking hood and Hepplewhite cutout bracket feet. The painted iron dial has a calendar, second's bit, painting in arch of a Scottish lad doing a Highland fling (jig) and cutout brass hands. -
Unsigned, English tall case clock, 8 day, time and bell strike, weight driven movement in a figured mahogany case with Chinese Chippendale decoration on hood below arches and on frieze above trunk door, carved floral rosettes, full round fluted columns flanking dial and matched crotch mahogany veneers on trunk door and base with reeded corners with lamb's tongue stop resting on ogee feet. The painted metal dial has date calendar and moon phase. This style of case was made in the Manchester and Liverpool areas of western England. -

Thomas Kennerdal, Wigan, tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven English movement, c1770, in a Pennsylvania walnut case with broken arch top, c1795, with applied carved rosettes, four full columns flanking hood, three brass finials, applied panel in base with ogee bracket feet and reeded quarter columns. The brass dial has applied silvered chapter ring, date calendar, cast brass spandrels and moon phase. -
John Joyce, Ruthin, Wales, musical three train tall case clock, 8 days, time, strike and musical weight driven movement playing one of seven tunes (including a hymn on Sunday) every four hours on eight bells and single bell hour strike with painted cast iron pendulum bob. The case is a high styled mahogany veneer case with carved rosettes on broken arch, three carved urn finials with flame tops, dental moldings, fluted columns flanking dial, inlaid banding surrounding doors, fluted quarter columns with brass Corinthian terminals and matched crotch mahogany veneers on trunk with matching raised crotch mahogany panel on base with fluted columns on base resting on ogee bracket feet. The painted metal dial is signed by maker, "John Joyce Ruthin", and has seven tune selector subsidiary dial, sweep center calendar and beautifully pierced hands. -

Durfee, Providence, Rhode Island, 9 tube hall clock, 8 day, time, strike and quarter chimes, triple weight driven movement playing Westminster or Whittington chimes on tubes which are signed Walter Durfee with the patent date 1887. The brass dial signed Durfee has a silvered chapter ring with pierced brass spandrels and dial center, moon phase depicting sailing scene, strike / silent and tune selector dials. The case is mahogany and has carved cornice moldings, carved paw feet, carved broken arch top with flame finials and four full columns flanking hood, sunburst carving above trunk door flanked by four full columns and beveled glass in hood and trunk doors and raised panel on base. There are exceptional lion's head escutcheons on both hood and trunk doors.
