French, Brass Cased Carriage clock for the Asian market, center seconds, the case decorated with silvered brass filigree on the base, quarter columns and top, and with center seconds. The rear plate has markings for Alarum (sic) wind and Alarum set, plus cuneiform markings, perhaps from Tokyo or S'pore. In any case this is a rear plate rack and snail model that has been widely reproduced in China, and it is likely they used one of this model to copy, c1900 -
