American or English, an unusual 30 day pier glass regulator with center seconds, the frame with gilt, repeating ornament and surmounted by gilt, sculptural foliate elements and central shell, the frame hinged to a pine case containing a large, 30 day weight driven timepiece movement with seconds pendulum, dead beat escapement, stop work, lantern pinions, and brass plates with turned iron pillars, mounted to a cast iron plate set into the case back, and white painted Roman numeral metal dial, with fancy, openwork blued steel moon hands, cast iron weights and wooden pendulum rod with heavy brass clad ball. -
