Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Conn., C. 1828 30-hour wood movement quarter column and splat shelf clock. Short pendulum movement with an early style label. Note S. Thomas produced this early long case with arched splat under full influence of the pillar and scroll, and this must be the earliest long case stenciled column he made, certainly pre-1830, and it is correct with short movement.
