Black Forest: Hans Konrad, Brux Czech Republic, Biedermeier style wall clock, 30 hour, time and gong strike, weight-driven movement with wood plates and brass wheels within a pine case with reverse painted glass front. The overall form of the case is typical of Black Forest Biedermeier wall clocks and the mechanism is essentially the same as most cuckoo clocks of this vintage. The elaborate case ornamentation features Catholic themes such as the cross, the Sacred Heart, and two small prints depicting Jesus. -
