Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, Concord, Massachusetts, the mahogany veneered, gilded rope molded case with acorn finial over the zinc roman numeral dial, original reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting "Aurora" on her festooned chariot driven by two winged horses set before a gleaming sunrise and framed within a geometric border, the waist glass flanked by brass side ornaments in gold, green and red frames gilt scroll work within a gilt border, below is a gilded pedestal with fluted acorn drop and eight balls, eight day brass movement with alternate train layout, cut-outs on front and back plates, and recoil escapement and regulated by a brass-faced lead backed pendulum bob and iron rod. -
Bench-made Patent timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, with mahogany case, brass bezel opens to the roman numeral dial surmounted by a ball and eagle finial, gilded rope molded frames for the reverse-painted glasses, the lower depicting and inscribed "Hull" with central shield and eagle pendulum aperture, the waist glass with similar patriotic depiction of a Federal shield and eagle amidst decorative scroll work in gold, red, green and white, the whole resting on a carved and gilded pedestal at the base with acorn drop, eight day time-only movement with recoil escapement, lead weight and pendulum bob and iron rod. -
