Thuret, a Paris, a 17th century pendule religieuse, the ebonized hardwood case with molded base and cornice, the door with cast, gilt trim, and top finials and cast foliate ornament, with what appears to be a family crest at center, case sides with astragal ended apertures with sliding shutters removable from the top, deep blue velvet lined wooden dial plate, gilt roman numeral dial with Arabic minutes, and gilt mount with laurel and trailing ribbon ornamented cartouche engraved "J. Thuret A Paris", 30 hour two train movement with baluster pillars, powered by a single barrel, and counting the hours on a bell, crown wheel escapement and copper strip suspension with cycloidal cheeks, and decorative, pierced steel levers for strike train warning and locking, and pendulum with turned brass bob -
