English Jeweler's regulator wall clock signed "Taylor", 8 day, time only, brass compounded weight driven movement with Graham deadbeat escapement and maintaining power in a quarter sawn oak case with painted metal dial. -
English, large inlaid mahogany quarter chiming bracket clock, 3-fusee, chiming on your choice of 8 bells or 4 gongs [and striking the hours on a deep toned cathedral gong, with a rectangular dial, engraved and silvered, and with subsidiary dials in the arch for Chime / Silent, F /S , and Whittington or Westminster tune, serviced by B. G. Taylor, Marple (Stockport), label on rear of dial. The case with wooden side frets, bun feet, and floral inlay on the canted corner moldings and front panels, + cross banding around the door, sides and top. C.1885. -
