German, (Meyer?), Novelty Chalet Automaton, C.1875. Note the dog in center of log cabin has a panting tongue, and the man at the left has his head bobbing back and forth as he tries to see what is going on. Two lovers at right in romantic embrace. Like other clock in this series, this one utilizes a small, pendulette movement, with the dog's tongue and gents head attached by a wire to the verge. -
