Maurice and Co., Paris, France, for Shreve, Crump & Low, Boston, mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven pendule de Paris movement with visible Brocot escapement on an molded octagonal base with gilt brass and red marble ovolo molding supporting a central column with the Greek muses cast with relief from patinated metal, supporting a molded octagonal capital upon which rests a drum head of black slate holding the movement, bezel, and polished black slate dial with incised Roman numerals and gilt hands. -
