Ledure, Bronzier, Hemon, Hor., France, monumental figural mantel clock, the case featuring a large patinated figure of Hannibal among the ruins of Carthage, his sword and helmet at his feet, and surrounded by architectural fragments, the figure seated on the square clock case, gilt oak leaf and acorn wreath bezel with convex glass, signed Roman numeral gilt dial, blued steel Breguet style hands, on a stepped green marble base, the top section with gilt egg and dart molding, thje front mounted with a relief of a helmet, spear, and laurel fronds, the lower section with gilt bronze acanthus molding and oblong marble plinth, brass 8 days, time and strike, pendule a Paris movement signed "Hemon a Paris", and with silk thread suspension, c1820 -
