French, large swinging arm clock, now suspended from a double statue depicting Persephone's return from Hades in the arms of Hermes, carried on his chariot. Most cast figures from this era evidence the revival of Greek mythological themes; this one is patinated spelter, giving the appearance of bronze. The movement contained within the ball is signed Paul Garnier, Paris, c1890 -
