Attributed to Drocourt, Paris, a rare and extremely decorative giant carriage clock in the rococo style, the gilt case replete with scrolls, foliate ornament, and putti, and set with eight gilt and polychrome enamel porcelain plaques featuring garden scenes and frolicking amorini, each on a deep blue field with gilt, foliate border, the Roman numeral dial with blued steel hands, case back with sliding glass panel to allow access for winding and setting, 8 day time, strike, and alarm movement with lever platform, repeating the last hour on demand, gong base marked "A.D." within an oval, serial #29268 -
