Courvoisier, a Paris, a late 18th century marble and gilt bronze mantel clock, the oblong base on toupie feet with inset, reeded mounts and central foliate ornament, and finished with a gilt bead molding, the gilt clock case with laurel and bowknot drop, and surmounted by a pyramid of fruit, the case supported bu two slender vasiform columns, with foliate and basket weave mounts, and gadrooned rings, arabic numeral white enamel dial, signed "Courvoisier a Paris", well executed pierced and engraved gilt hands, 8 day two train movement with crown wheel escapement, the Swiss style strike work mounted to the back plate, and with silk thread suspension, repeating the last hour on demand
