French, Barbedienne, Paris, a large marble and bronze mantel clock with perpetual calendar, and surmounted by a Greek warrior with a lions head helmet, and showing phases of the moon and center seconds, the dial flanked by two robed clerics or philosophers, and the case ends with busts of Socrates on one side and Aristotle on the other. /with damage, c1875
