German "Digital Time" with fancy brass dial, in an architectural walnut case, brass pendulum regulated movement, has solid plates and open spring, running one day, gilt /tan numerals on paper rollers indicate the time, the right two rollers bearing the minutes, and rolling up similar to American calendar roller [or slot machine roller], springing quickly into next position. At the end of minute 59, the hour roller rotates, and the minutes are back to "00". -

Black Forest, wall clock, 30 hour, time and strike, weight driven wood plate movement in a wood case with ebonized trim, polychrome back painted glass dial featuring two men in 18th century minersi uniforms, a foundry scene, and the words "Gl,ck auf!" ("good luck") -- a greeting German miners used when wishing one another luck. The transferred design on the crest has related imagery including the crossed hammer and pick, a pan, shovel, and lantern. Below the dial on the case are the words "Gott mit uns" ("God with us") which was often used on Prussian heraldry as an expression of unity. On the bracket at the base of the clock is an eagle typical of the Prussian coat of arms.
