The rear plate has markings for Alarum (sic) wind and Alarum set, plus cuneiform markings, perhaps from Tokyo or S'pore. In any case this is a rear plate rack and snail model that has been widely reproduced in China, and it is likely they used one of this model to copy, c1900 -
