English mahogany barrel form 8 day, fusee spring brass movement wall clock or timepiece, c1815 The dial is signed "Smart", who might possibly be Benjamin Smart a London clockmaker who worked from 1797-1818 located at 35 Firth Street. The two "ears" would suggest that this timepiece may have been built into some larger structure. There are three holes in the case at the six o'clock position that would suggest this timepiece was mounted onto a stand with three pins. -
