Description

the original finish remains and in some parts it is under an old overcoat. The base, fret and feet appear original. The finials appear period. The English-made dial (used on all S. Willard clocks of this period) is in very good condition with original Willard signature and under a black light shows repairs and repaint around dial feet. The pendulum is period and has some repairs. Period hour and minute hands. The tin can weights are period, although one appears to be undersized at only 9 pounds and is a replacement, the other 14 pounds. This is a very nice example of the work of one of America's most famous clock makers.
