Description
Two of the applied enamel cartouches have fine hairline cracks, but they are overall very good. Cast fronton is very nice. Lower cartouche for the maker's name is missing. Bell is absent. Brass movement mounting posts are a departure from the iron posts in most Comtoise clocks. The crutch acts directly on pendulum leader with no linkage necessary. Unusual asymmetrical movement places the winding arbors in unconventional locations on the dial. New cords on wood winding drums. The movement appears to be clean. Indistinct letters or arrows are scribed into the top and bottom of brass doors. No weights or pendulum come with this clock.
