Description
(1) The case is in very good condition. The tortoise shell veneer has cracked a little, but has not lifted or broken. The white enamel dial is perfect, as are the hands. The ebonized portions were probably given a coat of black paint. Movement is unsigned. (2) Like-new condition. The rotating ball pendulum is propelled by a spinning wire finger.These reproductions are designed to run a week, unlike the originals which were 30 hour. (3) Brass retains a very bright polish. The marble base and glass dome are very good. Heavy steel chain on the fusee barrel. Dimensions are for the portico clock (1). Sold "as is ".
