Description

The brass dial has some of the black missing from the Roman numerals. The embossed brass plate is very good. The movement plates and posts are all iron. The plates have brass bushings for the pivots. Brass wheels and cut steel pinions. The spring barrels covers are affixed to the front plate with screws. The fly has had additional weight soldered to it. The rack has been peened to change its length or orientation. Some of the springs within the strike train are newer and not as well made as the originals. There is a soldered repair where the pendulum attaches to the pallet arbor. Bells stand is cracked. The movement is unsigned. There is a lever on the right side to repeat the hours. A single iron leg in the back allows the clock to stand on a table. The movement is exposed. The brass hands have been painted black.
