Description

(1) Rosewood veneered front case in original finish has one corner chip and some loss on the top left edge. Original painted dial has some small loss on one edge, at the mounting screws and the winding arbors. Both glasses look replaced. The movement is stamped "C. Jerome, New Haven, Conn." but may be OK as E. & A. Ingraham had to buy movements after they parted with Brewster. Elias Ingraham did not establish his own movement shop until 1865. (2) Rosewood veneered case has some remains of an old finish with some small loss at the left front foot and small damage at the top center. Original top and glass and acid etched & cut bottom glass. Painted dial looks original, but the name has been added. Minute hand looks replaced. Clean label inside.
