Description

The movement and case are genuine Elliott, but this is NOT a true war time RAF timepiece. Rather, it was assembled from various Elliott parts and a dial painted to make it look like a RAF clock. The beech case has lost most of its finish. Painted metal dial is flaking and needs to be stabilized, but the RAF logo and outer ring used to color-code 5 minute intervals is still in good shape. The fusee has a chain and ticks when the crutch is moved manually. Pendulum is absent. One wooden peg is also missing. Signed movement is dated 1942.
