Description
(1) The James P. Marsh Company of Skokie, Illinois started in 1865 as a producer of industrial instruments. The heavy case has some tarnish over the once bright polished brass. The silvered metal dial has some light tarnish and the engraved Marsh name. Someone sought to regulate the clock by extending the arc cut in the dial at the 12:00 position. The twin-spring Seth Thomas movement ticks. (2) The lacquer on the heavy brass case has started to turn brown and spotty. The silvered dial is in decent shape with some tarnish and fine scratches around the winding arbor holes. The center arbor is slightly bent. The bezel glass is missing. The movement ticks but will need mechanical attention.
