Description

main structure of building/case appears to be original. The carvings and finials on the front of the clock -- possibly rosewood -- are more recent creations, done by a craftsman with considerable ability. Old cast brass movement is unsigned. Single fusee has steel cable connecting it to the spring barrel. Bellows have been restored with new leather. One of the two whistles has been repapered or replaced. Tip of bone minute hand has been broken off. Though not entirely old, this is a handsome clock.
