Description
(1) The case is nicely made, with brass string inlay, but a bit of the inlay is lifting. There are a few age splits and top dents. The paper dial is later and worn; the thin brass bezel encloses flat glass. The square movement with lantern pinions and heavy brass plates ticks and strikes. (2) The case has an original finish with a bit of a haze on the top arch. The painted metal dial is in excellent condition and looks to be hand-painted. The movement ticks and strikes, but is dirty and will need cleaning. Bezel has been repaired at the hinge. Dimensions are for the Kienzle.
