The black painted case is heavy cast metal, married to an unsigned 8 day higher quality movement and metal dial, 9.5". Another Seth Thomas is 30 hour with white enamel dial and thin brass case mounted to a hardwood shield 12" high. The fourth, 8 day in a machined aluminum case, is marked CCCP and dated 2-65, 8.5"
