Description
With a bell striking movement marked "PL THS". The slate case has bronze relief figures of Classical women - some are carrying trays of food while others carry game animals and birds. They seem to represent several different races - Egyptian, Roman, Grecian and others. The bronze figure on top is of a partially nude woman reclining on a cushioned bed, holding an apple in her hand. The clock is running and striking at this time. (The "III" and "V" on the dial are not original to the clock. The upper right corner on the front of the case looks like it has been repaired. There are few small, but not serious, nicks scattered about.) Dial - 4 1/2" Diameter; Case - 11 1/4" Tall x 19 1/4" Wide x 4 3/4" Deep
